Van carrying St. Charles church group crashes in northern Georgia

?(KMOV) -- A St. Charles church van was involved in an accident Wednesday night near Chatsworth. Ga. That left one child and several adults hospitalized.

Police say the van was transporting 24 people from a northern Georgia youth camp when it ran off the road and struck a tree late Wednesday night.

The pastor of First Baptist Church wrote on the church?s website that every student but one was back at the camp this morning.

One child suffered a concussion and lacerated liver. Three adults were seriously hurt in the wreck. The adults and the child are all being treated at an area hospital.

17 people were taken to area hospitals but most were treated and released with minor injuries.

The cause of the accident has not been disclosed.
