We stay sober, job or no job, wife or no wife
I had about 6 months sober and the only man I've ever loved beat the crap out of me and the women in AA showed me how to walk though it like a strong confident woman in recovery.
I was living on government aid for the first 10 months and living off of $200 cash and $200 food for 2 people.
I also met the boy early in my first 30 days and now, financially, I'm really well off.
I want to stay sober, so I do whats nessicary. I had to double or tripple my program when each of these things happened. Romance and money are not stronger than god. I just keep my connection to god clear and strong. If something changes, good or bad, I work my program harder. I know I dont have to drink if I dont want to. Life is 20% what happens and 80% how I choose to respond to it.
