If Facebook is hot, the iPad may be even hotter. Now the social networking company is introducing an app made specially for the Apple tablet users.

It's been a year of waiting, but it seems the Facebook iPad app is finally almost here.
The New York Times reported that unnamed people in the know said the app was on its way in the coming weeks. It is currently in the final stages of testing, and has undergone several different design variations over the past year.
Design-wise, it's said to be slick, making the most of the iPad's touchscreen, and boasting new chat and group functionality. Like the smart phone version, users will be able to shoot photos inside the app.
?The photo and video experience is amazing, offering full resolution and full-screen images,? a person familiar with the app said.
Facebook says 250 million users access the site from a mobile device, and an app for the iPad has been long-awaited by users. Third party applications for Facebook on the iPad do currently exist, but have been given bad reviews.
The rumors of the iPad app coincide with other rumors about Facebook's relationship with Apple. The social media company is reportedly working on something called ?Project Spartan,? an HTML 5 web platform that will go head-to-head with Safari.
