About 3:30 Thursday afternoon Spalding Deputies, responded to High Falls road to the former Building of Griffin Communications where a individual was reportedly shot. Upon arrival Officers found that the owner of the building was checking on his property and found the door open as he entered the building a burglar jumped at him and the owner shot the perpetrator. Deputies said that Spalding EMS had also responded and took the perpetrator to a landing zone where Emory Air Flight lifted him to the Atlanta Medial Center. The Investigation is continuing and more information is expected to be released later.
