T.38 Fax Relay Software | FREE PRESS RELEASE

Toronto, Canada ? GAO Research Inc. (www.GAOResearch.com) is offering its updated T.38 Fax Relay Software in compliance with the latest ITU-T recommendations. T.38 allows for the transfer of facsimile documents in real-time between two standard Group 3 facsimile terminals over the Internet or other networks using IP protocols. The latest revision clarifies H.323, H.248.1, SIP and SDP call establishment and improves the compatibility between T.38 gateways and Group 3 facsimile.

GAO?s T.38 fax relay software supports V.17, V.29, V.27ter, V.21ch2 and V.34 standards. It also offers re-entrant implementation which is optimized for multi-channel support on a single DSP. It has been integrated and tested with fax data modems providing operating data rates of up to 33.6 kbps. A ?spoofing? function is implemented in the protocol engine of a T.38 relay to modify protocol commands and responses on the TDM side to prevent jitter, delay or lost packets. In addition, this T.38 fax relay software provides support for both UDP and TCP.

This T.38 fax relay software belongs to GAO?s family of Fax Software. Other products in the family are V.27, V.17, V.29 and V.34 fax software whose maximum bit rates are 4.8, 14.4, 9.6 and 33.6 kbps. The family also includes T.30/T.30E and T.4 fax modem protocols. This line provides the most comprehensive and unique suite of modem, fax, telephony, speech software, VoIP, FoIP, fax relay and fax/modem/voice relay software for embedded applications for DSP and microprocessors.
