EAST ST. LOUIS, Il (KMOX)-A Charter Communications employee was shaken up but otherwise okay after being robbed at gunpoint, in East St. Louis Thursday afternoon.
Police tell us the victim was having lunch in his Charter truck on Vieux?Carre?Drive off 89th street, when one of two juveniles stuck a handgun through the driver?s side window and demanded his money.
After he told them?he doesn?t carry cash, he was ordered out of the truck and onto the ground.? The suspects took his company-issued laptop and ran off.
The victim drove to 8800 State Street, where he called police.
He says he was so shaken up, he didn?t get a good look at the young criminals.
